As for the educational system, terms last two or three months, whether you are in state or private schools. Holidays are nearly the same, although their length slightly differs from one system to another (christmas, schools’ day, shrove tuesday, easter, long holidays, all saints). Among the island’s main festivals, two have gained worldwide fame: the Donia (may-June at Nosy Be) and Madajazzcar (October in Antananarivo and in the provinces).
